NAYA Fund for Waterwaysnayafund.org
our initiatives
The objectives of the NAYA Fund for rivers and streams are to improve water quality and aquatic habitats in urban areas, to emphasize aquatic fauna in small ponds and catchment areas found in an urban setting, to support a dialogue between municipal, environmental and wildlife experts and to raise awareness among city dwellers on just how important it is to protect our urban rivers and streams.

Rivers and Streams Revitalisation Projects

In the summer of 2008, NAYA Fund committed to a total investment of $300,000, over a period of three years, to implement six experimental projects intended to revitalize aquifers, streams and waterways found in urban zones. The program is managed by the Fondation de la faune du Québec and on-site operations will be coordinated by member organizations of the Regroupement des organismes de bassins versants du Québec (ROBVQ).

NAYA Fund helped with the revitalization of six different rivers and streams in Quebec
